わたくし、外資系の金融機関に勤め、あまり内情に詳しくない人には、いくらか聞こえのいい仕事かも知れませんし、いくばくかマシな給料かも知れませんし、東京のほとんどの会社はブラックという現実社会の中では、いくらかマシな労働環境かもしれませんが、まあ要するに、わたしの生活もクソみたいなものでございます。

山路(やまみち)を登りながら、こう考えた。

越す事のならぬ世が住みにくければ、住みにくい所をどれほどか、寛容(くつろ)げて、束の間の命を、束の間でも住みよくせねばならぬ。ここに詩人という天 職が出来て、ここに画家という使命が降くだる。あらゆる芸術の士は人の世を長閑(のどか)にし、人の心を豊かにするが故(ゆえ)に尊(たっと)い。
